Ballina & Saint Marys Clonmel met in the heat in Clonmel Sportsfiled on Sunday 24th June. St Marys opened the scoring with 3 unanswered points, before David Hickey opened Ballina's account with a pointed free. Ballina added a further David Hickey free, but 2 more points for the home side, saw them ahead by 0-5 to 0-2, before referee Paddy Ivors sensibly allowed a water Break on the 1/4 hour mark. After 22 mins David Hickey brought Ballina ahead for the first time with a goal  (1-6 to 0-8). Ballina added a further 4-points to 2 for St Marys to lead 1-10 to 0-10 at half-time. 

4 minutes into the second half Conor Maguire added Ballina's second goal & it was 2-10 to 0-11. St Marys had the better of exchanges until the next water break & it was Ballina 2-11 to St. Marys 0-15 at this stage.. On 24 minutes the sides were level - Ballina 2-13, St Marys 0-19. However the two remaining scores in the game went to Ballina. 
Best for Ballina were Conor Bourke, Aidan Hanley, Ronan Bourke, Patrick Cosgrove & Conor Maguire. This win, combined with Moneygall's win over Cappawhite ensure 2nd spot for Ballina & a semi-final meeting with Knockavilla/Donaskeigh Kickhams.
