Ballina GAA Notes 9th May 2016

Club Investors Draw

Many people are busy selling the draw at present. This Draw is vital for the club as we service the loan used to purchase and develop the new field.

This draw offers generous prizes and also aids our ongoing financial commitments - which include paying back a substantial loan on the purchase and development of the new field. Thanks for your support.

Darkness into Light:

Congratulations to all those who organised and helped run the Ballina/Killaloe Darkness into Light event on Saturday morning. The club is delighted to be associated with this event and having the Clubhouse as the start & finish points. Thanks to Sarah Devane and her team who helped so much from a club point of view. Well done to all those who participated.

Clubify

We have joined up with Clubify to provide a clubapp for our members and Supporters. Download clubify from the appstore or android store and choose Ballina GAA Club as your club. Remember we also have our website www.ballina.tipperary.gaa.ie and our twitter & Facebook pages.

Senior Notes

Senior Hurling:

Ballina have advanced to the play-off stages of the County SHC following a hard fought draw with Ballingarry in Templetuohy on Sunday 8th May. This was a real battle from both sides and Ballingarry were ahead at half-time 0-7 to 0-4. Ballina were a much improved side in the second half but needed a last minute free from Michael Breen to secure a draw.

Final score Ballina 0-11; Ballingarry 0-11.

This draw puts us through to the knock-out stages of the County Championship & into Roinn I for 2017.

Ballina's attention will now turn to the North Championship V Portroe in a few weeks' time, and the County Challenge Cup Quarter Final in Templederry v Templederry.

Junior Hurling:
