AED (Defibrillator) for Ballina GAA club | We are at the heart of the community and are anxious to provide an AED if our players, supporters or community need it. An AED, or automated external defibrillator, is used to help those experiencing Sudden Cardiac Arrest. It is a sophisticated, portable, easy to use medical device that can analyse the heart’s rhythm and if necessary, deliver an electric shock, or defibrillation, to help the heart re-establish an effective heart rhythm We have the chance to purchase this potential life saver and locate it at the club. Not only will it benefit our club but it will also be there for our community. | 11/06/2021 |

Ballina GAA Club 2016 Sports Predictor Quiz | The Ballina GAA sports predictor quiz for 2016 is attached. This year we have 27 events to choose from and similar to last year it is done on a multiple choice format, which makes it easier to choose your selections. As with last year , in particular with the golf events, you can select a winner from a small group of players. Also, as the Rugby European cup Quarter finals are on before the deadline, we've grouped the Quarter Final pairings as one selection. The feedback we've received on this in the past 4 years has been very positive, as it gives an added interest and also added enjoyment to all of the main sporting events of the year. Regular updates are sent each week, or after each event so you can see how you are doing and watch for upcoming events. Last year we had 61 entrants, and paid out €305 in prize money and we and hope to increase that again this year. Remember, closing date is Thursday April 07th, the day the Masters starts, so please fill out the attached file and return by email, or submit a hard copy to myself or Peter King. You can also leave in your entry to Theresa in Katwalk or into “Simply Delicious” Coffee Shop beside McKeoghs.

Ballina GAA Club 5-year Plan | The Club has published its 5-year plan. The plan is attached here BALLINA GAA CLUB 5 YEAR PLAN As chairman of the North Tipperary GAA Board I am pleased to endorse the Ballina GAA Club Five Year Strategic Plan. I am impressed with the vision of the club contained in the document and complement the club members who worked so diligently in formulating the various elements of the plan. It demonstrates the true amateur ethos of the club’s members and the wider community of Ballina and Boher. Ballina club has been a formidable force in Tipperary GAA since the formation of the club in 1885 in both hurling and football, winning a number of Divisional and County Championships. However a new chapter was written in 2013 in winning the County Intermediate Hurling Championship and have successfully competed in senior ranks over the past couple of years. This recent success was augmented by two of the club members winning Munster & All Ireland minor hurling titles, one of whom also winning Munster & All Ireland minor football titles as well as a Munster U21 title. Both players have now graduated to county senior status in their respective codes with a Munster senior hurling medal coming to the club in 2015 In addition to the achievements on the field of play, Ballina club can be proud of supplying a number of officers to the North Tipperary GAA Board over the past couple of decades. In conclusion, I wish Ballina GAA club every success in the implementation of the their 5 Year Strategic Plan which no doubt will see the club rise to new levels of achievement both on and off the field. Dan Kennedy North Tipperary GAA Board Chairman December 2015. | 03/02/2016 |
