07th Jun 2020: GAA Safe return to play roadmap

In light of Friday’s announcement that we can reopen and begin to get back to the field from June 29th, the club is working hard to put plans in place to ensure all our teams can return to GAA safely (see measures below).
In light of this, we now require all members to register by the 20th June at the very latest!! Please do so online with clubforce https://member.clubforce.com/memberships_cart_m.asp?LL_ID=539&intMF_ID=6319#Anchor
We need membership ASAP to enable us to draw up plans for a safe return to play - ensuring that we are adhering to all guidelines so that everyone is safe in the field. We also need membership to have all contact info so that we can send out detailed information on the protocols directly to each participant in advance of training restarting.
From 29 June
🔹 GAA pitches to open for small group training (adult and juvenile)
🔹 All buildings remain closed
🔹 All training is non-contact in this phase
🔹 Small groups – 10 players & two coaches in a dedicated area of the field
🔹 Players arrive and depart togged out
🔹 Health questionnaire must be completed at each session for all players
🔹 Covid supervisor for each team
🔹 Underage players must be dropped off/collected
🔹 Entry to grounds will be restricted to necessary persons only during training sessions
🔹 Running, aerobic, agility, ball work – social distancing
🔹 No sharing of equipment like water bottles
Other measures that will be in place:
🔹 Hand sanitisers on entry to facilities and within range of players training
🔹 Temperature checks prior to every session
🔹 All playing balls/ equipment to be sanitised regularly
🔹 No mixing of players from ‘pods’ (their group of 10)
🔹 Dedicated Medical isolation room
There is a full set of comprehensive guidelines that we will be adhering to http://www.ballina.tipperary.gaa.ie/Shared%20Documents/SAFE%20RETURN%20FOR%20GAELIC%20GAMES.pdf and more information will be shared over the coming days/ weeks.
If you wish to have further information on the guidelines or would be willing to become a Covid Supervisor, please contact Diarmaid McKeogh on (086) 821 7045
Please note also that if you have any queries whatsoever regarding you or your child and any Long Term Illness or medical condition, please do not hesitate in contacting us to discuss.
